BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has given a statement after the appointment of his former teammates Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman to two influential positions in Indian cricket. Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman have played many memorable innings together with Sourav Ganguly for the Indian team in the 90s. Dravid and Ganguly have captained Team India for a long time. The Indian team won the Test match by winning the 2001 Kolkata Test after a follow-on against Australia. In this match, Dravid and Laxman shared a partnership of 376 runs. Laxman played the biggest innings of 281 runs in his career. At the same time, Dravid had scored 180 runs.
