IPL 2021: Match 9- MI vs SRH Preview, Dream 11 Prediction, Report and Live Streaming
VIVO IPL 2021: MI vs SRH Preview & Dream 11 Prediction
- Both teams have a very good bowling attack.
- MI has more power in the middle and lower order than SRH.
- SRH is finding his feet and is struggling to find the right balance so far in IPL 2021. Lack of batting depth can be a major problem.
Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad played two very exciting matches in Chennai in the first week of IPL 2020. While Mumbai Indians made a dramatic collapse and won the match against KKR, Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a dramatic collapse and lost their match to RCB.
Needless to say that Mumbai Indians is the happiest camp right now.
SRH have lost both their matches so far in IPL 2021 and there are some very big issues to get past. The team is not balanced and the choice of foreign players is also unclear. MI will also have to make some changes to their strategy as five matches will be played in Chennai during IPL 2021 and it will not be easy to win.
MI may have fought the right way to play for Chennai in their last match. Batting first, MI scored 152 runs which was a good start and then went through a difficult period in the death overs. The bowlers then made a stunning comeback in the final five overs of the second innings and helped MI win.
A match that seemed to be in the bag was somehow lost and would cause a lot of damage to SRH. The IPL is usually a close competition and every win is important. The match may return and defeat SRH as the battle for playoff status draws to a close.
At the moment, SRH needs to answer some important questions. Can Kane afford to keep Williamson on the bench? Has it got the batting order right? Is this the best bowling attack SRH can dismiss at the moment?
Let us consider these questions. We don’t think Kane Williamson is going to replace Johnny Bairstow after just one poor performance. He has been very good in tough Indian conditions and we think Williamson just has to sit outside. Warner, Rashid and Holder are currently closed.

MI vs SRH: Head to Head:
|Mumbai Indians||Head to Head||Sunrises Hyderabad|
|8 won||16 Matches||8 won|
|87 runs||Lowest Score||96 runs|
|208 runs||Highest Score||178 runs|
Pitch and Weather Conditions:
The conditions in Chennai have been tough for the batsmen. It was the best time to bat against the new ball and the spinners dominated after that. It used to happen in the death overs where the batting side would attack the most, but it proved to be very difficult indeed.
Overall around 150–160 should be seen as the first competitive batting. The pitch will continue at a slow pace, offer a turn and test the batsmen.

MI vs SRH Probably XI:
Batting: Rohit Sharma does not like to change his team too much and hence we do not think there will be any change in the playing eleven for this match. Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan certainly have enough balance in the bank to cover some poor performance.
X-Factor: Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard have become an X-factor for mi, he can play superb shots in the dead over
Bowling: The world-class bowling attack saw Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Jaspreet Bumrah, Trent Boult and even Marco Jenson in the previous match. If there was to be a change, we would like to see Jimmy Neesham in the lineup in place of Marco Jansen.
Predict XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Rahul Chahar, Marco Jansen, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah
Batting: The batting order may use a little tweaking. We are not sure that Wriddhiman Saha is the best option to open the batting and it is time to maximize Johnny Bairstow at the top of the order. This is where the most runs are being scored and there is no purpose without holding it back.
X-Factor: Jason Holder is a bit sketchy but there is a lot of power there. On a good day, Samad and Holder could get a lot of runs very quickly.
Bowling: The bowling lineup has done its job well enough for SRH and no changes are necessary. Jason Holder started with three wickets and Rashid Khan proves to be very dangerous every time on this Chennai pitch.
Predict XI: David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Vijay Shankar, Jeson Holder, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Shahbaz Nadeem
