IPL 2021: Match 51- RR vs MI Live, Preview, Dream11 Prediction, Report and Live Streaming

Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians (RRvCSK): Match no. 51 of VIVO IPL 2021 will be played between these two teams RR vs MI, The match will begin on 05 October 2021 at 07:30 PM IST.

Team winner Prediction:

Key Points:

  • Mumbai Indians have a better bowling lineup
  • Rajasthan Royals have a bating lineup that is in better form than the Mumbai Indians
  • The conditions in Sharjah could negate any batting advantage that Rajasthan has and swing the match in favor of the better bowling lineup

RR vs CSK Analysis:

The final few group matches of IPL 2021 are about to take place and teams fighting for the final IPL 2021 Playoffs spot have no margin for error. Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians are both on 10 points from 12 matches so far. Each of these teams has two matches remaining and it must win both of them.

Even that may not be enough for them to qualify as Kolka Knights Riders have a better net run rate than both of these teams. Mumbai Indians have been able to pull a rabbit out of their hat in IPL seasons before but have they left it a bit too late?

The Rajasthan Royals managed to win convincingly against the Chennai Super Kings in the previous match while Mumbai Indians lost a closely fought contest against Delhi Capitals.

Match Details:

Date: October 05, 2021
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Sharjah Cricket stadium, Sharjah
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:

The pitch for the most recent match played at Sharjah between RCB and PBKS was better than most surfaces that have been served up. The fact remains that the underlying nature of the surface is slow and difficult to bat on. The ball becomes very difficult to hit once it gets older and accelerating in the last 5-6 overs is just not happening.

Teams that fall behind the run rate in a chase are unlikely to catch up. Betting opportunities are also available with in-match bets as you can bet ‘Under’ the par score for the 20 overs after the powerplay.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):

A couple of absolutely stunning batting performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube helped the Rajasthan Royals (RR) chase down what looked like a very tough target to get. RR also made the choice of benching Liam Livingstone and bring in Glenn Phillips for the previous match.

It was a tough decision but one that could pay off in the latter parts of the tournament.

Evin Lewis, Glenn Phillips, and David Miller help add a lot of strength to the RR batting line-up that also has most of the Indian youngsters in good form and scoring freely. Whether you are willing to bet on this young Indian lineup to do well against the might of the Mumbai Indians is another thing altogether.

RR also made a number of changes to its bowling lineup. Akash Singh and Mayank Markande were given a go but that may have been down to some injury concerns as well. We could see a change in the bowling lineup once more for this match against Mumbai Indians.

RR has built up some solid momentum and is playing well but gaps in the bowling and a slow playing surface that tests its batsmen could still trip it up.

Likely XI: Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Liam Livingston, Mahipal Lomror, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Chetan Sakaria, Karthik Tyagi, Mustafizur Rahman

Mumbai Indians (MI):

Another poor batting performance from a Mumbai Indians team that just does not seem to be able to get its act together cost it the match against Delhi Capitals. Sure, the conditions were tough and it lost a crucial toss, but the Mumbai Indians are a champion side that should have adapted better.

None of the batsmen for Mumbai Indians are in good form. They need their senior players to perform and we have seen them lift themselves when they are pushed to the wall in the past. This is that time now.

Jayant Yadav played the previous match but he is usually reserved for matchups against Delhi only so we don’t think he will play this next match. Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Rahul Chahar, and Krunal Pandya are not bad bowlers. They will certainly test the Rajasthan Royals batting lineup.

Likely XI: Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, SA Yadav, SS Tiwary, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Jayant Yadav, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Trent Boult, JJ Bumrah.
