Kolkata knight riders vs Mumbai Indians (KKRvsMI): The 5th match of VIVO IPL 2021 will be played between these two teams KKRvMI, The match will begin on 13 April at 7:30 pm.
Kolkata Knight Riders haven’t had a good IPL campaign for a couple of years now. In both 2019 and 2020, they failed to make it to the playoffs. But things are expected to be different this time, KKR starts VIVO IPL 2021 campaign with winning by 10 Runs in last match played with sunrises Hyderabad.
Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma were defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021 while Kolkata Knight Riders bowled out Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first match. Now, MI would like to return to the winning path, while KKR are looking for another win that could give them some early advantage in the IPL 2021 points table.
MI’s batting showed a draw against the Royal Challengers. A score of 159 was not enough to block RCB, but only by one. They will look forward to that late fire of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard, the difference between victory and defeat at times, against Kolkata’s outfits. He will need a few more runs from skipper Rohit Sharma, who was unfortunate run out in the first match.
There are no injury concerns in both camps. All their players are fit and available. The sides will choose the same possible playing XIs in the Second Match. Both teams have enough options and good bench strength as well.
Quinton de Kock is available from this Match. He was completing his 7 days Quarantine.Zahir Khan

KKR vs MI: Head to Head:
|Kolkata Knight Riders||Head to Head||Mumbai Indians|
|6 won||27 Matches||21 won|
|67 runs||Lowest Score||108 runs|
|232 runs||Highest Score||210 runs|
As we saw in previous game of IPL 2021 between SRH vs KKR, the Chennai track is not a completely bowling-friendly surface. It has enough purchase for the batsmen as well, provided they take their time to find their footing on the track. As we expect 170-180 become a pass score in this Pitch.
The weather is expected to be dry and the surface will be on the slower side. There is a little bit of dew that comes into play but that can vary from match to match. Opening batsmen have the best conditions to score in and the wrist-spinners are usually the ones that are the hardest to score off.

Batting: Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi were giving a great start to the previous match for KKR, so the batting lineup should be the same as in the previous match.
X-Factor: Shakib Al Hasan’s inclusion gives KKR a great balance, since he can be used anywhere in the batting order and he is also a bowling option for the powerplays.
Bowling: Kuldeep Yadav can be played in place of Harbhajan Singh as Eoin Morgan did not use Harbhajan Singh in the previous match.
