Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings(RCBvCSK): Match no. 35 of VIVO IPL 2021 will be played between these two teams RCB vs CSK, The match will begin on 24 September 2021 at 07:30 PM IST.

Team winner Prediction:

54%
CSK
46%
RCB

Key Points:

  • CSK has won eight out of the ten previous matches it has played against RCB
  • RCB is coming into this match on the back of one of its worst-ever IPL performances
  • CSK’s senior players are in better form and give it a big edge in this contest

RCB vs CSK Analysis:

Chennai Super Kings got off to a disastrous start and were effectively 7 for 4 but staged a brilliant comeback to win the match against Mumbai Indians. They will be taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in this next match as IPL 2021 moves to Sharjah.

RCB was terrible in the previous match it played against KKR. It suffered its heaviest defeat in terms of the number of balls remaining and will certainly want to take a look at the balance of its team.

Sharjah was a six-hitting paradise in IPL 2020 and we saw some truly ridiculous scored being scored and chased down. Bettors will want to look at the Total Sixes, Total Runs, and To Hit A Six betting markets with a lot of interest for this match. RCB vs CSK is always a tense match between two South Indian giants with passionate fan bases.

Match Details:

Date: September 24, 2021
Time: 07:30 PM (IST)
Venue: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah
Live Streaming: Disney+ Hotstar
TV: Star Sports Network.

Pitch and Weather Conditions:

There is no threat of rain for this match as can be expected in the desert! The pitch is expected to be very good for batting with a nice amount of bounce and carry. The small boundaries make Sharjah a six-hitting paradise. There were more sixes per ball hit in Sharjah than at any other venue in IPL 2020. There is no reason why that should not be the case once more.

A high-scoring match seems likely.

RCB vs CSK- Head to Head

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB):

RCB would have been devastated with its performance in the previous match. It has now lost the previous six matches it has played in the UAE, all of them coming when it has batted first. Virat Kohli’s form is a big concern and his struggles against the new ball are likely to be exploited once more.

RCB also has no number three to bank upon. We did not think KS Bharat looked like making much of an impact in the previous match he played and just seemed to be prolonging the inning. The same was the case with Sachin Baby.

AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Kyle Jamieson are the real threat in the batting department. You never want to count out de Villiers and Maxwell on a tiny ground like Sharjah but both of them have been out of top-flight cricket for a while and could take some time getting back in the groove of things.

We would still take the ‘Over’ on Total Runs AB de Villiers in this match.

RCB did not have enough runs to defend in the previous match and its performance with the ball cannot be taken too seriously. Hasaranga, Jamieson, Siraj, Chahal, and Patel should be able to come up with some better performances in the upcoming matches.

Likely XI: Virat Kohli (c), Devdutt Padikkal, KS Bharat (wk), Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Tim David/Wanindu Hasaranga, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini

Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

CSK suffered a batting collapse against high-pace but recovered very well thanks to the brilliance of Ruturaj Gaikwad. His inning of 88 not out was the difference for them in the previous match.

After a poor season in IPL 2020 where their batting was found to be too old-fashioned, CSK has managed to change things around and be sufficiently aggressive. The injury to Ambati Rayadu does not seem to be too serious and there is a great chance that he will play this next match.

With Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, and Dwayne Bravo in good form, CSK has a powerful batting lineup. Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni are IPL greats but they have not been at their best for quite some time now. We think you should avoid placing betting markets on those players for the time being.

Dhoni used match-ups very smartly while bowling and so used Meoeen Ali more against the left-handers than Jadeja. RCB is quite right-hander heavy and so Ravindra Jadeja may get more of a bowl in the next match. Deepak Chahar is one of the most successful bowlers in the powerplay while Josh Hazelwood has adapted brilliantly to the T20 format.

CSK is at the top of the league standings right now and certainly has the momentum to win once more.

Likely XI: Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (c&wk), Dwayne Bravo/Sam Curran, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Josh Hazlewood

Please check the team once when Playing XI Announced.
