Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul made a big record after playing the first match in the second leg of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League. In Tuesday’s match against Rajasthan Royals, he became the fastest Indian batsman to complete 3000 runs in the tournament. He became the second batsman after Chris Gayle to reach this position as the fastest in IPL.
Punjab Kings captain Rahul continued the momentum achieved in the first leg in the second leg as well. Chasing 186 runs against Rajasthan in the first match, Rahul achieved a special achievement with a six. He scored 3000 runs in the tournament. On the third ball of Chetan Sakaria’s over, he hit a powerful six and did it amazingly.
Fastest Indian to score 3000 runs:-
KL has become the fastest batsman among Indian batsmen to score 3000 IPL runs. There are only three batsmen in the tournament to do so before playing 100 innings and Rahul’s name is included in it. This batsman, who came out to play his 80th innings in IPL, made a record with a six.
The record of making the fastest 3000 runs in IPL is recorded in the name of Universe Bass Chris Gayle, who played for Punjab team. Gayle had scored 3000 IPL runs in just 75 innings. In this list, Rahul has come to the second place by doing so in 80 innings. The name of David Warner, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad, comes at number three. Warner achieved this position in the 94th innings.
