ICC gave good news to the fans, after 8 years this explosive tournament will start again

The tournament, started in 1998, was last held in England and Wales in 2017 when the Champions Trophy was held. Already 8 teams will be able to take part in the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in 2025.

Many important decisions were taken in the board meeting of the International Cricket Council on Tuesday. Along with the T20 and ODI World Cup, there was also an important discussion about the Champions Trophy. The ICC had decided to stop this tournament because of the Test Championship. Now it has been decided to start it again. It has been announced to hold tournaments in 2024 and 2028.

Its final match was played between India and Pakistan. Playing first in this match, Pakistan scored 338 runs in front of India. Team India was all out after scoring just 158 runs and Pakistan won the trophy by winning the match by 180 runs.

Apart from this, a decision was also taken on Tuesday regarding the ODI and T20 World Cup. Earlier 16 teams used to play in T20 World Cup whereas now it has been decided to increase it to 20. At the same time, the ODI World Cup used to play 10 teams earlier, which has been decided to increase to 14. The T20 World Cup will be held in 2024, 2026, 2028 and 2030. The ODI World Cup is to be held in 2027 and 2031.
