BCCI hikes Match fee of Indian Domestic Cricketers including Women Cricketers

A major decision was taken regarding domestic cricketers in the 9th Apex Council of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) held on Monday, 20 September. BCCI has announced to increase the match fees of India’s domestic cricketers. These include women cricketers as well. Not only this, the compensation for the players of the Ranji Trophy and Senior Women’s T20 cricket tournament canceled for 2020-21 was announced.

The BCCI has informed that the players who were part of the 2019-20 BCCI domestic cricket season will be compensated 50 percent of the match fees for the cancellation of the Ranji Trophy 2020-21 and Senior Women’s T20 tournament, because this tournament is due to Corona. could not be held. Apart from this, after the Under 19 tournament, now the Under 16 tournament will also be organized, as it was not organized last year due to Corona.

At the same time, BCCI has taken the biggest decision by increasing the match fees of domestic cricketers. BCCI secretary Jay Shah has told that earlier senior players used to get Rs 35,000 per day, but now they will get Rs 40,000 per day. At the same time, senior cricket players included in the reserve used to get Rs 17,500, which has now been increased to 20,000. However, now separate sections have also been created for senior players.

In senior cricket tournaments, players in the playing XI who play 20 matches will get Rs 40,000 per day, players playing 21 to 40 matches will get Rs 50,000 per day and players playing more than 40 matches will get Rs 60,000 per day. At the same time, players with reserves will get Rs 20,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 per day respectively in this category. U23 cricketers used to get Rs 17,500, which has now been reduced to Rs 25,000. At the same time, u23 cricketers included in the reserve will get Rs 12,500 instead of 8,750.

Talking about U19 cricketers, earlier they used to get 10,500 per day, but now they will get Rs 20,000 per day. Players with reserves used to get Rs 5,250, which has now been increased to Rs 10,000. U16 cricketers used to get Rs 3,500 a day, but now they will get Rs 7,000 per day. Apart from this, u16 cricketers included in the reserve will get Rs 3,500 instead of 1,750.

The BCCI has also increased the match fees of women cricketers. Earlier, women players in senior category were getting Rs 12,500 per day from BCCI, but now they will get Rs 20,000 per day. The match fee of reserve players has been increased from Rs 6,250 to Rs 10,000. At the same time, U23 cricketers will get Rs 10,000 instead of 5,500. At the same time, those with reserve will get 5,000 instead of 2,750. The same amount is also going to be given to U19/U16 women players.
